4.1 A - DGR for DGR Instructors

This course is designed for individuals who are interested in becoming certified DGR Instructors. The course covers all aspects of the transportation of Dangerous Goods by air, including the regulations, procedures, and best practices for handling and shipping these items. Our experienced instructors will provide you with a thorough understanding of the subject matter, as well as the skills and knowledge needed to effectively train others. The course includes a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on training, and practical exercises to ensure that you have a complete understanding of the material. Upon completion of the course, you will be fully prepared to take the DGR Instructor certification exam and will have the skills and knowledge needed to train others in the safe and compliant handling of Dangerous Goods by air.

Who is the GCAA 4.1.A course for?

Personnel who will deliver dangerous goods regulations training in the UAE. It is the instructor job function, taken by staff who will conduct DG training in the UAE for an airline, ground handler, freight forwarder or postal operator, and by individuals working towards GCAA certification as a DGR instructor.

Initial training runs 6 days, the longest of the GCAA 4.1 function. The length reflects the double requirement: full command of the regulations. 

All aspects of the transport of dangerous goods by air, including the regulations, procedures and best practice for handling and shipping. Delivery mixes classroom instruction, hands-on training and practical exercises.

Instructor training assumes working command of the regulations you will be teaching. Send your current certificates and the categories you intend to deliver to DGR Aviation, and the team will confirm whether you meet the entry requirements before you book.

Besides 4.1.A training, you must also have the instructional skills training such as Train the Trainer and a minimum of 5 years work experience in the field. The training provider you are employed at, can make an application to GCAA for you to attend the Dangerous Goods Instructor Training (DGTI) program. Successful completion of this training allows you to train others in safe, compliant handling of dangerous goods by air, within the categories and scope your approval covers.
