What dangerous goods courses does DGR Aviation offer in Dubai?
DGR Aviation delivers the full GCAA 4.1 function from its Dubai training centre:

Which GCAA dangerous goods course code do I need?
Your course code follows your job function, not your job title. Staff who accept or process DG consignments need 4.1.D. Staff who prepare or classify shipments need 4.1.B or 4.1.D. Staff handling and storing cargo in warehouse need 4.1.E. Passenger handling check-in staff needs 4.1.F. Is dangerous goods training mandatory in the UAE?
Yes, training is in fact mandatory worldwide. Personnel who offer, prepare, accept, handle, load, dispatch or screen cargo, mail or baggage carried by air are required to hold current dangerous goods training matched to their job function. These requirements is based on the Int’l Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) , Int’l Air Transport Association (IATA) and the UAE Civil Aviation Regulations (CAR) Part VI, Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air.
How long is a DGR certificate valid?
All DG certificates are valid for two years from the date of successful completion of the training. Attend recurrent training before that expiry date. Once a certificate lapses, the holder is no longer qualified to perform the function and the employer carries the compliance exposure during any audit or inspection.
How long does each dangerous goods course take?
Duration depends on the types of training based on the job junctions. 4.1.L runs 3 hours. 4.1.H and 4.1.J run 4 hours each. 4.1.F, 4.1.G, 4.1.I and 4.1.C run 1 day, 4.1.E run 2 days. 4.1.D runs 4 days without Class 7 radioactive material or 5 days with it. 4.1.A runs 6 days.
What is the difference between initial and recurrent DGR training?
Initial training is the full syllabus for someone attending the training for . Recurrent training is the shorter refresher taken before the two-year certificate expires and it shall not be less than 60% form the duration specified for the initial training.
Do you deliver in-house dangerous goods training at our facility?
Yes. DGR Aviation runs customised and in-house sessions for airlines, ground handling agents, freight forwarders, helicopter operators, postal operators and packaging suppliers. Complete the request form on the site or email info@dgraviation.com with your headcount, preferred dates and the job function you need covered, and the team will build the schedule around your shift patterns.
Do I need to buy my own IATA DGR manual?
No. DGR Aviation supplies the current-year IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations manual and UAE CAR Part VI for the duration of the course. Participants who want a personal copy for daily operational use after training have to purchase it separately, either from DGR Aviation or IATA.
