Who needs GCAA 4.1.G training?
Personnel responsible for the planning of aircraft loading. That means load controllers, ground dispatchers and load masters who decide where consignments are stowed on the aircraft and who produce the loading instruction and the NOTOC.
How long is the 4.1.G course?
Initial training runs 1 day at the DGR Aviation centre in Port Saeed, Dubai, with in-house delivery available for load control units that need to keep a duty roster covered.
Why do load planners need dangerous goods training?
Because loading decisions determine whether incompatible substances are segregated correctly, whether stowage restrictions are respected, and whether the flight crew receive accurate written notification of what is on board. How long is the certificate valid?
