Personnel from the medical, pharmaceutical or aviation industry involve in the handling and shipping of biological products containing blood and body fluids.
After completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Understand the national and international legal framework on the air transport of Dangerous Goods
- Understand the specific responsibilities of the shipper and operator.
- Know how to apply the regulations to transport infectious substances and biological products.
- Purpose and the legal framework on why there is a need for infectious substance regulations
- Mandatory Training Requirements
- Infectious Substance Packaging Requirements
- Infectious Substance Marking and Labelling Requirements
- Infectious Substance Documentation Requirements
Current year IATA DG Regulations Manual and the UAE Civil Aviation Regulations (CAR) Part VI Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air
(DGR Aviation will provide these for the duration of the training)
Simulation exercises on Category A and Category B infectious substances and all the exceptions. Participants will progressively apply their knowledge and skills to prepare and accept the different types of infectious substances classification.
Final assessment (theory and practical) on last day of class to assess participant’s knowledge, skills and attitude on the application of the Regulations.
- A Certificate will be issued upon the successful completion of the course.
- Certificate is valid for two years.
